ABOUT ME
Starting out as a construction worker in the early 70’s, I quickly learned I was skilled at working with my hands. I went to work for a General Contractor who built the homes completely, from the ground-up. I was able to learn much along the way and eventually became a superintendent during mid 80’s and early 90’s. I became a General Contractor and owner of Day Construction Company in 1992.
Specializing in residential remodeling, I did well for a number of years, but I found something even better. In 1996 I received an offer to inspect hundreds of foreclosed investment properties. I was trained on the job and learned what it takes to provide accurate, complete inspections very quickly. ‘Hands on’ experience was indeed the best teacher for these types of inspections. The opportunities kept increasing over time and I have continued to work as an inspector ever since.
In 2008, when the economy took a turn, I made the decision to change my professional direction. I decided to become Certified as a Real Estate Home Inspector. While on-the-job training proved valuable in the past, I knew I needed to learn the more technical and practical aspects of being Real Estate Home Inspector. I enrolled in a Home Inspection Certificate school and learned what is needed to be a top notch Home Inspector. Since 2008 I have been very pleased to focus on Real Estate Home Inspections in San Diego.
